Our mission is to realise our vision through the delivery of a professional, respectful and confidential family and community support service. Our mission is to support the development of community through openness, empowerment, understanding, connectedness and acceptance. We strive to do this within an approachable, transparent and innovative environment that is grounded in a community development ethos. We acknowledge and aim to understand the needs of the community and to respond to these needs positively and creatively. Our catchment area includes Castlemaine, Milltown, Kiltallagh, Keel, Lack, Firies and Kilnanare.

About Maine Valley FRC
Maine Valley Family Centre is a very rural resource centre reaching out to the families and communities of the mid Kerry area. The area covered spans over a large rural hintherland with a population of just over 7000. There are 640 families with children either in the pre-school to primary school ages. With one secondary school in the immediate area catering for 650 pupils along with the many pupils who travel outside of the area to schools in Tralee, Killarney and Killorglin.
The centre continues to meet the diverse and ever changing needs of the families and communities in rural Ireland. Our staff, which consists of a part time project co-ordinator, part time programmes co-ordinator, part time community development worker and part time administrator reach out to all of the target groups with the wide variety of programmes, projects and outreach work.
